Celebrations
These happen by themselves, on the real dates. DockPal reads only the date.
- New Year (1 Jan). Fireworks all around.
- Valentine’s Day (14 Feb). Hearts drifting from its head.
- Easter (Easter Sunday). Bunny ears.
- Halloween (25–31 Oct). A witch’s hat, and bats fluttering up.
- Diwali (Each autumn). A diya, and golden sparks.
- Thanksgiving (4th Thu, Nov). A pilgrim hat.
- Christmas (1–26 Dec). A Santa hat, all through December.
- Its birthday (The day you met). A party hat, a cake and confetti, on the anniversary of the day you met.
Diwali follows the Hindu calendar, so its date changes each year. On your pet’s birthday, it marks a year since DockPal first ran on your Mac, and every year after that.
To turn holiday looks off, switch off Dress up for the holidays in Settings › Reactions. Nothing happens during a Focus.
One more look
- Switch your Mac to Light mode and your pet puts on sunglasses for a moment. That’s its own reaction, so you can turn it off separately.
